If you are considering building a new home there are certain things to keep in mind to ensure the home meets not only required building standards, but will meet the needs of your family for years to come. At JDB Homes, we have implemented a 4-Step Building Process to ensure your new home is not only built right but that it exceeds your expectations. In fact, JDB Homes will not be satisfied with a job well done until we have earned a referral or recommendation from our new homeowners.
The building process starts with selecting a design and home site. With all new architectural designs and floor plans offered in each JDB community, our JDB New Home Specialists work with customers to select the perfect plan, features, and home site location for your family. Known as the "Flexible Builder", JDB Homes will also allow you to customize your plan, moving walls or adding features as you see fit; something not all builders are willing to do.
About 60 days after the start of construction of your new JDB home, a JDB Construction Specialist will meet with you to review the Structural Components, Framing and Windows, Mechanical Systems, and Home Elevation and Design. Assuming everything is in order, your home will be completed and a final inspection from the City of Jacksonville Building Department will be scheduled and passed. We don't stop there though; JDB Homes will then conduct our own unique, rigorous 200 Point Quality Checklist to make certain your new home has been built with care and pride, in other words "Built Right!"
Prior to closing on your new JDB home, a Warranty Specialist will walk you through your finished home to show you how it functions and operates, as well as discuss warranty coverage and maintenance tips. At this time we want to make sure you are nothing short of delighted with your new home and assuming so, we will schedule to close within a few days.
Your new JDB home will include a 1-year fit and finish, 2-year systems, and 10-year structural warranty from 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, the largest third-party warranty company in the United States. Only select builders with outstanding track records and reputations for quality and customer service can participate. JDB Homes is proud to provide every customer with the true peace of mind these warranties will provide and we guarantee your new home meets only the highest standards of craftsmanship. If you decide to move, these warranties are even 100% transferrable.
